As of September 2026, the US App Store listing shows a Pro-Star monthly subscription at $8.99 and, separately, question packs: 5 questions for $2.99, 10 for $4.99, 25 for $6.99. There are also standalone purchases such as Your Year Ahead at $11.99, Advanced Chart at $8.99 and Eros at $6.99. Being metered changes how you use an app. Most people start saving their questions up for something important instead of just asking.
Two App Store reviews we read directly, quoted with their dates. One from May 14, 2025 calls the roughly nine dollar monthly price “insane” and says the app is “essentially bricked” without it. One from August 11, 2024 says that over a year of use the premium content “repeats”. Two reviews are two reviews and we are not presenting them as a survey. They are simply the kind of thing worth reading before you commit to a year.
Midjourney acquired Co-Star, reported by TechCrunch on July 24, 2026, with the deal said to have closed in spring 2026 and Co-Star's roughly two dozen staff joining Midjourney. Terms were not disclosed. We are noting this as a dated fact, not as a complaint. Acquisitions happen, and this one may well be good for the app.
To be scrupulous about it: Co-Star's paid tier already existed well before the acquisition closed, so nothing here suggests one caused the other. They are two separate facts and we are not going to weld them into a story.
